Duluth MN Fireworks Ordinance

Gov. Dayton vetoed the proposed fireworks bill on April 29th 2012 that would have made made aerial fireworks and firecrackers legal to buy and use. Minnesotans will have to continue to come over to Wisconsin to truly enjoy the 4th of July as intended.

The sale and use of certain fireworks is permitted in Duluth Minnesota. Legal fireworks are sparklers, cones and tubes that emit sparks, snakes, and party poppers. (See link below for detailed list) Fireworks can't be used on public property. You must be at least 18 years old to buy fireworks and retailers are required to check photo ID.

Explosive and aerial fireworks are prohibited for public sale, possession and use. Prohibited fireworks include firecrackers, bottle rockets, missiles, roman candles, mortars and shells.
